How do I apply for a job at the Reggae Shack Café?
Please
stop by our location, 619 W University Ave, Gainesville, FL 32601, for
an application during our normal business hours, Monday to Saturday, 11 am to 10 pm. In order to be considered, please fill out the application as completely and fully as possible.
What is your pay rate?
Compensation
is based on experience and skill level, which will be determined upon
successful completion of the hiring process and subsequent employment.
What positions are available?
Presently
we are looking for cooks, dishwashers, servers/cashiers, and managers. We are taking applications for both
part-time and full-time positions.
Do I have to know how to cook Jamaican food to work at the Reggae Shack Café?
No,
here at the Reggae Shack Café, we welcome people from many different
backgrounds to share our passion. Knowledge of Jamaican food is not
required, as our training program will allow you to successfully meet
the requirements of cooking at the Reggae Shack Café.
I am currently in school, can I apply for a part-time or temporary position?
Yes, you are welcome to apply! If you are called for an interview, we will have you complete an availability form, so that if you are hired, we can accommodate your school schedule.
