On June 1, 2009 we officially re-opened our doors after completing our renovation and expansion.  To the left is Omar in a shot of when the opening in the wall was finally made - a huge achievement!  We want to thank you, our customers, who have supported us over the past 6 years and have allowed us to grow and succeed as a business.  Thank you for your continued business and support, and for giving us the honor to serve you the best Jamaican food in the world!

We have made many changes and additions since re-opening, and we hope you can stop by to check out the new things!  We have new menu items, including Sandwiches, Caribbean Hot Wings, Callaloo & Crab, and a delicious new smoothie - Coconut Strawberry!  We have also hired many wonderful new employees to serve you better.  We are now open 11 am until 10 pm Monday through Saturday, and we expect to begin opening on Sundays very soon!  We have TVs now for your Gator football viewing pleasure, so stop by during the games for a nice cold Red Stripe while you watch the Gators win!

We celebrated our grand re-opening with the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce on August 6, 2009.  Check out the pictures below if you missed the event!  We served wings, Jerk Ribs, Jamaican sodas, Aloe Vera Drinks, Rum Cake, and upcoming new menu items, like Ackee Bruschetta and Callaloo Bruschetta.  Gainesville's own local band, 3rd Stone, performed during the event to a very pleased crowd!

We are currently trying to win a grant sponsored by American Express and NBC Universal - $100,000 in grant and marketing support, which would greatly help us in The Million Dollar Drive.  We appreciate all of our customers, employees, friends, and family who helped us reach 50 endorsements to reach the next round.  We hope to be one of the finalists, and we will keep you all posted!  Click here for more info.
